PITTSBURGH—Rhianna Shea Reichard turned on the morning news May 29 and learned the Group of 20 summit was coming to Pittsburgh—of all places—and on Sept. 25, of all days, her wedding day.

She was aghast when she realized that the Sheraton hotel where she is getting married would be hosting world leaders and others coming to Pittsburgh to discuss the global economic crisis.

“I was a wreck,” Reichard said. Reichard and Phil McMullen had to plan their wedding all over and moved it to a new date in August.

It is just one of many inconveniences Pittsburgh will face during the G-20 summit on Sept. 24 and 25—and in the weeks leading up to it.

Under tight security, heads of state and finance officials will descend on Pittsburgh joined by some 3,000 members of the news media.

The gathering of leaders from the world’s richest nations also draws thousands of sometimes violent demonstrators. The city already has agreed to pay $40,000 to fly in officials from London—where the last meeting was held in April—to help plan for the event.

Pittsburgh police so far are saying little about security measures or their cost.

Here are some changes others have already made to accommodate the summit:

n The University of Pittsburgh rescheduled five conferences, each with at least 200 attendees.

n Pittsburgh-headquartered clothing company American Eagle changed its three-day fall conference, telling several hundred expected attendees the event will be moved to another city.

n PNC Bank, also headquartered in Pittsburgh, and BNY Mellon, with 7,000 employees downtown, may transfer some of their work to offices outside the city.

Certainly, though, nobody wants to navigate the traffic.

That’s where Alfred Lacazette, a 54-year-old exploration geologist at natural gas producer EQT, is in a bind. Lacazette lives less than a block from the convention center where the summit will be held and is torn between sticking around to see the excitement and fleeing to avoid the security and traffic.

A bigger problem is his 90-pound Weimaraner, Random, who usually takes her walks in the parks near the center.

“Where am I going to walk my dog?” Lacazette said. “She doesn’t like to go in the alley. She prefers natural surface.”

As for the Reichard-McMullen party, hotel managers never told them to reschedule their wedding. Instead, managers explained security could be burdensome and the White House could forcibly cancel their big day. This news came just as Reichard was picking up invitations at the printer—with the date set for Sept. 25.

They paid an extra $300, on top of the $700 the first time, for invitations with the new date—Aug. 21. A $75 runner with Sept. 25 printed on it is now useless.

McMullen was so angry he e-mailed President Barack Obama asking how he would feel if his daughter had to cancel her wedding “because someone more important was staying at the hotel.”

But the new invitations went in the mail Tuesday and Reichard is calmer.

“Nothing else better happen,” Reichard said.

Those who witnessed E! star Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett tie the knot at the Playboy Mansion over the weekend have described it as “emotional,” “beautiful” and like “a fairy-tale.”

Well, now we have the pictures to prove it, in our Kendra and Hank’s Wedding Day gallery, which highlights some of the romantic moments during the couple’s nuptials.

From Kendra’s brother giving her away to the newlyweds’ first kiss, it was a special occasion indeed—one that also included quite the menu.

The 300 guests in attendance had the luxury of dining on such delectable dishes as tempura shrimp, sushi, prime rib and lobster tail. (See the entire list here.)

Meanwhile, husband and wife were spotted at the airport in Los Angeles on Sunday, as they made their way toward St. Lucia to begin their honeymoon.

When Bill discovers a new woman on the eve of his marriage, his life turns into a circus. In true theatre tradition, Flat Rock Playhouse presents the farce, “Perfect Wedding,” by Robin Hawdon. It opens July 1.

Bill wakes up in the bridal suite on his wedding day to find an attractive young woman in bed beside him. In the grips of a bachelor party hangover, he can’t remember having met her.

After that, things continue to go downhill. Before Bill can get her out of the room, his bride-to-be arrives to dress for the wedding and, in the ensuing panic, the new girl is locked in the bathroom. Bill’s best man is persuaded to claim the stranger but gets confused and instead introduces the chamber maid to the bride as his date and the crisis escalates to nuclear levels.

From the author of “Don’t Dress for Dinner,” “Perfect Wedding” moves at the speed of light and will leave the audience aching with laughter. “Perfect Wedding” is sharply funny and the perfect medicine for all thinking about getting married. This rare combination of riotous farce and touching love story has provoked waves of laughter across Europe and America.

Starring Lisa Bryant, Jane Bushway, Damian Duke Domingue, Charlie Flynn McIver, Wendy Hayes, Neela Muñoz, and Scott Treadway, “Perfect Wedding” is presented by Trace and Company and is on stage July 1-18.

Farces are a staple in the world of entertainment and are widely employed in stage, film and TV sitcoms. These light comedies are typically characterized by characters moving through ridiculous, far-fetched situations, broad physical humor, with quick and witty repartee. Generally, there is a happy ending, albeit with a twist in the plot.

Evening performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8:15 p.m. and matinee performances are most Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. Tickets to “Perfect Wedding” are $30 with discounts available for seniors, students and groups. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Playhouse box office at 693-0731, toll-free at (866) 732-8008 or online at www.flatrockplayhouse.org.

A smiling Cerys Matthew admitted she was “excited” by her jungle pals’ wedding plans for her and former EastEnders star Marc Bannerman.

Anna Ryder Richardson and Christopher Biggins came out with their plan for her nuptials to the former star of EastEnders star Bannerman as they sat around the camp fire.

Cerys replied: “Don’t, can you imagine? I can’t let myself think that. I know it’s just so exciting.”

Then, miming she was putting something to one side, Cerys added: “I almost have to go like this for a minute.

“Just concentrate on this, but have that smiling in the back of my head.”

Cerys, who admitted last night how “exciting” it would be to think of marrying Marc Bannerman, has insisted she will never get married again, despite her fellow campers making plans for the wedding

Pantomime dame Biggins said: “Can we come to the wedding? We have already got our hats haven’t we?”

Ryder Richardson, who last night became the sixth person to be voted off the jungle celebrity show, added: “We planned the gifts last night, the venue, the food… honeymoon’s already booked.”

Remembering Bannerman’s ex-girlfriend, she then warned: “We mustn’t do this because his… might be watching.”

The former Catatonia singer was recently divorced from the father of her two children, American music producer Seth Riddle.

PINK stretch Hummer - check. Champagne flutes with Playboy insignia and ribbons - check. Plunging ballerina-style wedding dress with detachable train - check. Pyrotechnics for reception entrance - check.

It may sound like the shopping list for a party at Hugh Hefner’s place, but they are the essentials for a suburban Sydney wedding so flamboyant it has gone viral on the internet.

Pictures of Kosta and Yanna Elsefes’ big day have been circulating by email with some unflattering commentary about the couple’s nuptial tastes, The Sunday Telegraph reports.

But it doesn’t bother Yanna, who said she had wanted a wedding that reflected her interests.

Her choices included three stretch Hummers, a red carpet off the street and down the aisle, hot pink and black wedding cake, and a $9000 wedding dress inspired by the Guns N’ Roses ballad November Rain.

On the side were seven bridesmaids, dressed in low-cut black cocktail dresses; seven groomsmen, in black overcoats and pink suspenders and a seafood spread for 220 people. The cost: $70,000.

“Everyone that walked in said, ‘Yep, this is Yanna!”’ the 25-year-old said.

“I’ve seen a few comments with people saying things like ’slapper’ and whatever but, you know, it was my wedding. That’s how I wanted it and I loved it.”

One of the main themes was wrestling. The self-professed wrestling fan organised twin pyrotechnic blasts for the newlyweds’ arrival at the reception at Dockside, Darling Harbour.

“We love WWE - I’m a massive fan - so we had the bridal party walk in to different wrestling themes like (wrestlers) The Big Show and Batista,” Yanna said.

The Kogarah couple spared no expense.

“I was booking the Hummers and then we decided we needed three,” she said. “I called the guy and he told me there was a hot pink one but it was in Melbourne so we paid $5000 to have it shipped to Sydney.”

And that dress with its detachable train for when the dance floor beckoned?

“It was inspired by November Rain,” Yanna said. “I saw (the video clip) when I was little and I always said, ‘That’s the dress I’m having for my wedding.”’

One Astoria couple is hoping that US Weekly and WeddingChannel.com will be able to give them their dream wedding.

Matthew Ossenfort and Jeffrey Denke had been good friends for about two years before becoming a couple about a year ago. Ossenfort said that it wasn’t until he and Denke grew closer as friends that they understood the potential for a relationship. Six months ago, the two got engaged.

Knowing of the engagement, a friend of the couple sent them an e-mail about the second annual Dream Wedding Contest, which is held by US Weekly and WeddingChannel.com.

I think he was probably somewhat joking,” Denke said of the friend’s e-mail.

However, the two decided to fill out the application anyway, even though they were not even sure if it was open to couples of all orientations.

At the beginning of June, Ossenfort and Denke found out that they had been selected as one of 10 finalists.

“I jumped up and down in excitement for the first time in my whole life,” Ossenfort said.

The two are the first same-sex couple to be selected as finalists.

“It’s just nice to know a large company such as US Weekly and WeddingChannel.com are open minded enough [that] it doesn’t matter what our sexual orientation is. It’s wonderful progress and a nice feeling.”

The finalists are now online and the public can vote for who they want to win. Voting will be held through June 18 and the winner will be announced on June 25.

Ossenfort said that the couple loves the idea of getting married at the Cloisters in Manhattan and that they want their wedding to be “an exciting, great big party with all of our friends and family.”

Denke also said that a dream of his is to have Joan Osborne perform at their wedding. He said that she does a cover of the Bob Dylan song “To Make You Feel My Love” that is the couple’s song.

“That’s not an everyday wedding thing,” Denke said.
