KEENE, N.H. (AP) — Stacey Libby said marrying the love of her life is like a fairy tale. But then, the Keene, N.H., woman saw the price tag — so she’s decided to try to get a sponsor, asking for businesses to use eBay to bid on the rights to her day.

A business can bid to pay for all or part of the wedding, and the couple will let them advertise, WMUR reported. However, Libby will pick the colors. And she’s not giving up control over the dress.

Her finance, Jim MacNevin, recently found out about the arrangement, but said he’s not letting anything get in their way this time. The couple’s relationship bloomed in high school, but then they went their separate ways, reuniting online seven years later.

Enchanted star Amy Adams is determined to keep her upcoming wedding as low-key as possible. She wants to elope with fiance Darren Le Gallo and wed in secret.

The couple became engaged last summer after Le Gallo proposed during a night out in New York.

And although they haven’t set a date for the wedding, Adams, 34, insists she won’t be throwing a star-studded party to celebrate her nuptials.

She says, “After Enchanted the idea of being in a big, white dress is not as exciting as one would think. I have a feeling that one day we will wake up and decide to get married and we’ll just go off and do it. Actually I would like a wedding that was just over. Isn’t that unromantic?

“There is so much emphasis on having the perfect wedding and I think that’s great if it’s something you have fantasized about your whole life, but that’s never been my fantasy.”

An Alton couple is hoping to win a $60,000 wedding of their dreams.

Kim Charlton, 24, and Jeff Dondanville, 25, are vying for Lou Fusz Automotive Network’s Dream Wedding Giveaway, one of 360 couples hoping to win a package that includes $15,000 toward the purchase of a new car at Lou Fusz Automotive and other prizes by sponsoring businesses.

The couple has dated for the past five years and was engaged on Dec. 19, 2008, at the St. Louis Zoo. The couple is planning an Oct. 24 wedding.

Charlton works as a teaching assistant at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and she is finishing her master’s degree in speech communications.

Dondanville is employed as a file clerk for Heyl and Royster Law Firm in Edwardsville and will working on his master’s degree beginning in the fall.

Charlton’s twin sister, Angel Adams, and the maid of honor, said the couple entered the contest hoping to alleviate the wedding costs because they are also preparing for their first child.

“Kim and Jeff are paying for their wedding almost completely on their own,” Adams said. “They are both working full time, attending school as well as preparing to be parents. They’ve been through a lot together and have the biggest hearts of anyone I know and are deserving of this.”

The couple is expecting a daughter, who they plan on naming McKenna, and want to include her in the big day.

Adams said that she and her sister’s father doesn’t have the extra funds to contribute toward the cost of the wedding and their mother is battling terminal cancer so it’s been a somber time. If they were to win it would be a boost for everyone in the family, she said.

See stars who are very friendly with their exes

On Friday morning, Harrelson, Martinez and Norton met up with newly engaged magician David Blaine at the city’s famous San Marco Piazza for coffee.

A rehearsal dinner took place later in the day at the historic Punta Della Dogana. French president Jacques Chirac and wife Bernadette were invited, along with Hayek’s pals, Penelope Cruz and Ashley Judd. The masked ball attracted the likes of Charlize Theron and boyfriend Stuart Townsend. All the guests wore black Venetian masks. Hayek and Pinault’s daughter Valentina, 1, was also there. Their surname is Green - so how better for film fans Keith and his bride Christine England to ensure a fairytale wedding.

It took a three hours to transform the 44-year-old builder and hospice nurse into their cartoon heroes Shrek and Princess Fiona.

But although 40-year-old Christine’s son from a previous relationship refused to play Donkey amid the 100 guests also dressed as characters from the films, she said: “It was a great laugh. The idea came to me because Keith looks like Shrek.” After the ceremony near their Barnstaple, Devon, dad-of-two Keith added: “It may look odd - but we’re ogre the moon.”

According to America’s In Touch magazine, Montag will wear a dress designed by Monique Lhuillier when the ‘The Hills’ couple exchange vows at the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
